ECAC - Cornell Captures the 2008 ECAC Division I Women's Cross Country Title
Van Cortlandt Park, NY - Cornell University won the 2008 ECAC Division I Women's Cross Country Championships at Van Cortlandt Park.
The Big Red had four runners finish in the top 20. Harvard's senior Nicole Cochran took the individual honor with a time of 18:04. Freshman Aeriel Emig of Cornell was second (18:08) while Erin Matyus of Maryland (18:08), Jessica Propst of James Madison (18:10), and Kristen Reed of Maryland (18:12) rounded out the top five.
The Big Red took home top honors with a score of 67. Harvard (79) finished second, William & Mary (87) was third, James Madison (107) fourth and Maryland (114) was fifth. Completing the top 10 were Georgetown (181), West Virginia (187), Delaware (188), Duke (203)and Yale (234).
In the University level race, New Hampshire senior Elizabeth Campbell cross the finish line with a time of 18:29. Columbia took the team award with 107 points while Sacred Heart (118) and Army (120) came in second and third.
